DSS#13 Ideas to develop...?

here are some older ideas/experiments i thought i could develop for this challenge's theme. comments/suggestions in favor or against any of these?

this is a double exposure done in-camera. de-focusing your eyes when you look at it helps you see it better: a face in a yin-yang kind of mirror-double swirl.

obvious zoom-effect centered on the mouth for an almost audible roar. it's hard to get the desired spot (mouth, teeth) to stay clear while smearing the rest. any tips on technique?

more straightforward portrait style. I kinda like the contrasty smeary charcoal-like effect. the harsh lighting seems to work for it...

    The lion is well done. whether it fits "diffused", i'm not sure.

    i wouldnt go with #1.....it takes like five minutes for me to adjust to it....

    It's a very cool photo, but I agree, it requires a little too much work for the viewer-
    I think the Lion fits the category the best, and has the greatest impact of the three.
