Moving Galleries

I would like to move quite a few galleries I have to a new category I set up. They are unlisted, but because I gave a link out through an email, my customers can still access them. If I move them, they won't be able to find them. How do I move multiple ones? Do I have to move them one by one?

Thanks!

Change the gallery categories all you want. It does not actually move the gallery. It just changes the properties of the gallery. So your url will not change at all.
As for changing the category on multiple galleries. You can do it with the 'Apply to other galleries' setting at the top of the page. Just save your current settings for the gallery as a quick setting then apply that to the other galleries. I hesitate to do this because it applies ALL the settings. If that works for you then have fun.

Shoot, so it doesn't change the url? Then the only way for me to prohibit customers from getting into a gallery that I gave them a link to is by setting up a password for it? I am giving my customers 30 days to order or I am removing the gallery. Rather than completely removing it, I would like to hide it so they cannot access it. That way, if they do need it back online, I don't have to reupload it.

I actually did try to make a preset for a gallery and move it to a different category. I then selected multiple galleries for it to apply to and it didn't work.

Once you've given out a link to a gallery, the only way to prevent access to it is to put a password on it.

You could create a new unlisted gallery, move all the photos to that new gallery, delete the old (now empty) gallery and then nobody would know how to find the new unlisted gallery, but that's a bit of legwork everytime.
