Florida lobster mini-season

I took this during the last Florida mini-season in Islamorada, Fl. We caught our limit (around 30) but this one in particular gave up quite a fight.

    Is that a crayfish or a lobster?

    Thanks everyone. I am really enjoying the amount of information that is available here. I must say, I haven't seen one bad photo posted here.

    It's a Florida Spiny Lobster that can also be referred to as a Crayfish. Although, not the same kind you would pick up in a Louisiana swap, they are closer in relation to a LA swamp crawfish than to a Maine lobster.

    aaah, so they have no claws like the maine lobsters do.
