Global changes to gallery settings?

How do I e.g., change the max image size of all galleries to Original - without changing anything else, such as privacy?

I'm trying to enforce 100% standardization on all gallery settings, except privacy. But haven't figured out how to do it reliably.

If you want to change settings on multiple galleries at once, I recommend Smugbrowser. You can get a copy from this thread - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=47484.

Thanks Denise -- that looks VERY COOL. However, when I installed the 0.5.5 version at the link you were so kind to include, I get "it is not compatible with Firefox 3.0.4."

After some research, I found that I can search up the 0.5.8 version by using the Firefox 3.0.4 "browse for add-ons". However, when I installed I get the following error

"Firefox could not install the file at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/39097/smugbrowser-0.5.8-fx.xpi because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption) -261"

Any tips?

I don't have one - but I'd recommend posting your question in the SmugBrowser thread I linked above - that way you should get the attention of the developer.

Nobody seems to be home in the SmugBrowser thread anymore. I had issues in FF3 and got no answers to my questions and see no presence from a developer any more.

Smugbrowser problem...what is it supposed to do???
Seemed like a good idea so I just installed add-on Smugbrowser 0.5.8 on FF 3.0.4. Logged in on my account and Smugbrowser opened in a new window with "Tree" and "Upload" tabs. "Tree" only shows my Smugmug categories and sub-categories and thumbnail photos display okay on right side. Beyond that I don't see anything else that I can do with it. My PC folders aren't displayed so can't upload? Upload tab just blank columned window. None of these features are apparently available...

1. Creating/Updating/Deleting Albums
2. Creating/Updating/Deleting Categories and Sub Categories
3. Customize galleries in BULK at Account, Category or Subcategory levels
4. Browse and upload photos to smugmug sit

Any help/comments appreciated.

Right click on tree at any level. Pick "Bulk Update" or "Properties". Scroll bar
doesn't work so use mouse wheel or keyboard arrows.

Nothing is selected in box, "Bulk Update", so any one or so items checked to change
will apply down all levels.
Except, "Properties" for individual gallery will show current settings.

Photos will only go in galleries.
Select a gallery in tree and drag pics from PC to thumbs pane. Right click in
lower window and click upload.

Check new added galleries on your site and change the category from "other" to the
correct category if applicable. Seems to be a bug.

Thanks for help, Allen. Seems to work okay as you said...uploading, bulk update and properties. I was able to upload to two different galleries without having to change categories from "other".
