I have a large flock of blue jays that visit me for peanut bribes. This summer I had lots of bald baby jays and this fall I have this guy who seems to have misplaced his tail.

The waxwings have also come to my yard to hang out in the trees...

and for some snackies on the mountain ash trees in my yard.

Nice set Angela. thumb.gif I wish we had waxwings down here.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

"...misplaced his tail." That is funny. rolleyes1.gifIt's also strange. I wonder if he lost it in a close call with a predator. eek7.gif Good shot of the waxwings. I get them very regularly in the spring during migration, but for some reason they bypass me during fall migration.

    Thanks Harry & Maestro,
I don't know what happened to the poor guy's tail but it is growing back. Pretty fast too. Almost can't tell him apart now.

I love the waxwings...they will stick around all winter as long as there's berries & other fruit on the trees. My trees didn't do so well this year but the neighbours have lots. So I see them around a fair bit.

    Cheers.

The waxwings shots are beautiful! I never get to see those birds "in the flesh", and your photos are really showing me what I'm missing!

No loons, and no waxwings either. I'm so envious. Nice shots Angela iloveyou.gif
