A soccer contact is head of the organizing committee, and she loves my work. She wants me to be the event photographer. 5 days, 4 age groups, 350 athletes. One venue(that I know has decent light). Requires on site printing, and since there will likely be 6 games/time for 8 hrs a day, requires more than one shooter.
I intend to bid on this, for sure. Its about time.

Ignorance is no excuss, so lets DGrin!
Not a bad idea. I have to do something similar but the location has limited access to power for a digital frame / laptop display. So... I bought a 3-panel folding photo display screen (black wood) from Sears and am matting 15 5 x 7 prints to fit in it as a backdrop for my booth. Then, i can have my (small screen) laptop running on a looped slide show - and a gzillion business cards to give out
One thing I've learned is that business cards are very cheap and effective advertising. People do keep them indefinitely (mostly 'cause they forget to throw them away, I suspect). Many business people hoard their own cards as if they're gold - They ARE gold only if you give them away
Good luck with the projects and keep us updated.
