    Hi Luis! Welcome!

I noticed the Ibis and wanted to say it's nice. Good color and a bird I've never seen.

Nice set and it looks like you had a good time at the reserve!

Thanks Ian. Yes, we had a very good time at the reserve.
The drive from the SF Bay Area was long but well worth it.

The Ibis is a bird we don't have here, so besides the cranes it was one of my target birds in the area.
Here is one with a few of them in flight:

He probably checked the EXIF on the original files. :D

    The shots were made with a Sony A700 + Minolta 400mm f/4.5 APO + 1.4x TC.

If you can't get Opandia to read the exif data you right click on the pic and look at properties. They will show the Dgrin gallery. Go to the gallery and look at the photo info.

Or you can cheat and remember Luis from the Sony DSLR forum over at DPR. rolleyes1.gif

What wonderful photos. I love *9 -- looks like the crane threw up a branch or a piece of grass.

Thanks. The crane was indeed throwing a stick in the air. It did that a few times until they noticed us and moved away.
    Here are two more:

Thanks for posting the other photos of the bird playing. Looks like he was having some "play time". Wonder why they do that.
