Smugmug Pro and personal site?

Quick question for those who have upgraded/use a smugmug pro account to sell prints. I have really enjoyed using smugmug for my family/travel photos, but now that I am getting closer to selling photos I am not sure what to do about personal photos on the pro account/site.

Do you password protect family/personal galleries and still have them accessible? These would obviously be photos that you do not intend to sell but would like others to view. I guess I am kind of being a cheap skate and trying not to have to pay for two accounts.

I will want my site to look pro, but I am not sure what to do now.

Thanks!

Yes you can simply lock your family galleries and require a password to view.

I thought about this when I was starting up my pro site. I decided it was best to keep them as two seperate sites. Its personal preference but I wanted the pro site to be as clean and professional as possible and I just didn't want to mix the two uses together.

Thanks for the replies so far, I will likely do the password protect option at first and as I progress (hopefully) will pony up for separate sites again.

There is an option to not have chosen galleries visible to visitors. You'll see them, but when you go to "visitor view" they won't be there.

I have several personal galleries that are hidden from public view. You can still share them with whomever you wish including forums.
    Very easy to do.

Isn't there a "friends and family" feature where gallery owners can set people up as "friends" or "family" that would have access to otherwise hidden galleries? I've never used it, but I thought something like that was available.

Why do people post their equipment in their sig. Isn't it kind of like bragging? That having been said...

Yep - I still have all my personal galleries on my pro site. I just don't have them marked as public. When I want to share a gallery with friends/family I simply send them a link to the specific gallery. Clean as can be.
