Ordering/Processing steps

I'm sure this is covered already somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. My search-fu is weak today.

When someone orders from my pro site - what are the steps that the order will go through on the way to being shipped to them and how long can I expect it to take for each step? Is it Order -> Proof Delay -> processing & printing -> shipping or what? The whole sequence and time expectations would be much appreciated!

I just had my first order yesterday and I am being hypersensitive to the process this time. I was nervous about the "not paid" part until I found out that means that *I* haven't been paid yet but that SM has taken payment for the order. And now it is sitting in Processing & Printing. Everything else has gone great through SM and I expect this will be no different, unless I messed something up.

I realized this is in the wrong spot - can I get it moved to Pro Sales Support?

    Hi Nathan!

When you have proofing days set for your galleries, this is how it goes:

    Customer places order.
Order is in Proof Delay for the time you've set.
Proof Delay ends or you ship the order to the lab.
Order is processing and printing, 1-2 days for prints, a day or so more for canvases and merchandise.
Order is shipped via the method customer selected. See shipping chart here: http://www.smugmug.com/prints/shipping.mg

I see three orders in your Pro Sales. The $2.95 shipping can take two full weeks to arrive, just in case a customer asks. If the order doesn't show up on time, just let us know. We're certainly willing to reprint and upgrade the shipping. :)

Does that help? Let us know if you still have questions!
