Last Friday was the last day of school for the Thanksgiving holidays for most of the schools in our area. An annual tradition for the youth at our church is to get together during the holidays for the Turkey Bowl.....that is....an afternoon of flag football.

The weather held up well for us. It had been really cold up until Saturday, but Sunday held mild tamperatures even though it was fairly cloudy.

    Jeff,
I also like your color processing.

Our church students have a Turkey Bowl too on Thanksgiving morning.

It is a Lightroom preset that I have concocted myself. I call it "LOMO". LOMO is a work in progress.

Anyway, if you are unfamiliar with lightroom....

Presets in lightroom allow for "one-click" global adjustments to a photograph. Much like a filter or action in photoshop, but much, much faster. In fact a preset can be applied to every photograph in the library in a single click.

Just as an FYI, ACR in CS also has the preset feature. It is easy to miss because you have to open the popup menu on the basic settings panel. But you can save your own settings under any name you like and reload them later. You can also apply the settings from the previous conversion with a single click on the same menu.

And now back to our regularly scheduled broadcast...:D

    Great set! clap.gif

#3 is my favorite, I think; On #7 the hands/feet on the right side are bothering me a bit. Maybe those can be cloned/cropped out?

I'm not sure if I like the very yellow cast, I may like it better if the yellow is brought down to around 75% or so, but I'd have to see it first.

Good point Richard...and thanks for contributing. I have been using Lightroom since the first Beta trial and haven't used ACR since...but yes...its there....and does include the functionality you mentioned.

    Thanks Ivar...for having a look.

The "editing" here was simply an import to Lightroom and an application of the preset. Surely time spent cropping etc wouldn't hurt if I decide to print them. As for the color....I am perfectly satisfied with the treatment....and so I doubt you will see them with a different one.mwink.gif

Thanks for having a look and commenting....it is always appreciated.

    Hints on your LR preset
    Hey Jeff,
I've been trying to duplicate you LR preset but can't quite get things right. Any hints you want to share? What general adjustments did you make? I've been starting from other LOMO presets and they are all way too green.

You can fix that in the split toning. My numbers there are Hue-55 for shadows and highlights Saturation is 42 for highlights, 5 for shadows and the balance slider is at plus 53. I also have the yellow saturation slider pushed to 10 and red pulled back to -2 in the HSL palette.

    Good luck!!
