Thanks Dee, I'm happy that you enjoyed my post. I've been following your photography and Andy's and Steve's as well as a whole bunch of others and I think we are all getting better as we gain experience. Yesterday I did the wetlands and the rookery and they are two very different places.
I'm lucky because the rookery in St. Augustine allows you to get closer to the birds and their nests than any other place I've heard of so far. It sounds like the chicks you saw are much younger than the chicks I caught in St. Augustine. Those chicks do seem to be annoying. They are noisy as all heck and they just about mug their parents for food when they come back tot he nest.
