Shots of what turned out to be a female on a glass slide. Great fun trying to herd one of these onto the slide (not!).

Shooter on a shoestring.
... and it's all done on an area no larger than a big stamp ... not a hillside ...
What was the setup for the first? ... you under, shooting up - or something different?

Paul for the first shot I simply rested the slide against a piece of melon so it was vertical and then rested the lens on the same surface (a water barrel lid).

Awwwwww my most adored and favourite bug of all times
The first time you ever posted a shot of a Springtail,
I have looked forward to the next time you might post another shot of one.
Thanks for showing us so clearly the under body of the Springtail,
that's quite a spring under there
I'm taken in by the eye, with its bumps and lumps.
That last shot is a ripper Brian :ivar .... Skippy
