By that, do you mean it slots into the existing clamp, so that there are two on the ballhead? Or that one must unbolt the original clamp and replace it it with the RRS clamp?
In looking at the clamp that's on the Acratech ballhead now, it looks like I could remove it with an Allen wrench. I think.
Hi Sid, not sure if you got your question answered by now, but I bought the Acratech sans clamp and mated the RRS clamp with it. As Pathfinder suggested it's a standard connection.

Thanks Jack. I've been puzzling over my Acratech, which I bought a couple of years ago with a clamp attached. I think I can unscrew the clamp, but I'm not sure. Hence my confusion about how to mount a quick-release, bubble level RRS clamp.
