Here's my attempt. This was a lot of fun to do, but does it work?
I feel it's kinda limited by the 800 px limit, but I guess that can't be helped really.
Penny for your thoughts!

My only question: why the pole in the foreground lower right? Having seen your "mental process" in threads before I feel sure you had a reason, but I can't figure out what it was....
Without snow there is only wet, dark bleakness (it looks like this). You learn to love snow in an instant
The pole, um, anxiousness to enter the picture? It was a nice little dead space filler just before the final crop...

weres the two in a snowball fight..??
The snow was a bit dry for snowballs, hence no proper snowmen either, but did have the idea of throwing a few at..ahem.. just past the camera - I flew through the shoot so fast I forgot

The pole has been cut down

naked man running way back there in the BG....:D
:cry
Dig up a hedgehog from hibernation too?

Naked men running in the snow require access to a sauna. The nearest facility to the location I used is a trotting race track... And I'm not crazy enough to run there...

I'm sorry, but without the hedgehog and the ring of fire, I'm not playing
and if you get the time, execute the shot of the streaker out in the snow for the DSS community:D
You guys are a tough crowd...

bwahahahahahaha
Requiem for the pole: good riddance! Much better without it (thanks for humouring me!)
This shot makes me smile even more now! It's very fun
Thanks
Thank you to all of you for the feedback and inside jokes
Here's some naked men for ya:

Oh, that kind of pole...

Hey, Santa lives in the country, so it must be...

Hmmm.....no hedgehogs, though. The fire was INSIDE the sauna, so I guess that will have to do. Where's pemmett? He'd love this.
But at least the naked men are CLEAN!

Yeah, the hedgehogs are always sleeping when you need them...

Ok, I am now reading this entire exchange in Monty Python voices......:giggle
I wonder if Spiny Norman would like to pose for a picture.
Ooh! Ooh! Naked man, running away from a 800 yard long hedgehog blowing rings of fire from it's nostrils. Now there's a project to do. Emily if you're reading this I need a theme for that - in the summer!
http://pyryekholm.kuvat.fi/
Only if he's running down train tracks .... :lol4
So the theme would have to be "Wildlife or locomotion - yours to interpret freely."rofl
(Can you tell I'm stalling before I start today's pre-Thanksgiving maelstrom?!!?? Since I was voted "designated cook" for the occasion there's a lot to do in the next 24hrs....!!)
Whose voice from the Pythons did I get?

Was it in it's prime?

It was a gracefully aged stubby out of bounds marker for frisbee golf - some say it now haunts the originals. Story goes if you really look for it in exifs, you can still see it
