Shooting in SoCal

Hey guys!
New to the forums here and just wanted to see how often people get together to shoot in socal. I live in Tustin (Orange County) and I'm always looking for sweet spots to hit up in downtown LA or anywhere else for that matter.
With Thanksgiving weekend coming up, it will probably have to be put on hold but if anyone else is local and feels like getting together to shoot sometime, let me know!

Welcome to dGrin
there are quite a few of us here in SoCal and you're most welcome to join us in any shootout but only if you shoot Nikon.... no just kidding
Check out the GETTY VILLA thread for starters!

As for what to shoot in So Cal, well I believe that there are many books on this subject. Maybe the OP will narrow down the subject matters for us. Beaches, mountains, lakes, trees, sunsets, gold mines, ghost towns, or well as you can see the list can get long fast.

I'm sure that there are other online and not online groups that shoot as well, I don't know of any online though.
We don't shoot too much behind the orange curtain, but we've been known to shoot in some nice spots in OC and even rarer in San Diego as well.
Lucky for me, I sport a D90.
Thanks for the quick replies everyone, after a quick look around it seemed like the forum was fairly slow moving so I'm glad to see people still check these regularly. As far as what I'm looking to shoot, I really don't have any one thing that I'm trying to limit myself to right now. I love shooting cityscape and night cityscape even more. Really not too picky.
I think really I just wanted to see how many other people were active shooting in the socal area as it's always fun shooting in groups. I'll also have to hit up the links to get in on the Getty Villa group. Thanks guys and I'll be on here regularly now that I know there are others in the area who enjoy the same.
