How to Pose a Fire Department
I came across this situation awhile back. I thought it was pretty interesting. I only had my P&S with me, but it still captured the moment.
This is a controlled burn I stumbled on. The Chief went to his truck and got his digital camera, and is talking to the Captain about a picture.
I wonder if they know what they are agreeing to?
"C'mon men, everybody over here!"
"Everyone squeeze in there tight."
"Say, 'no anchovies, please'!
And then they all busted butt to get the heck out of the scorching heat!
So the next time you need to pose the staff of a fire department, this is the backdrop preferred by at least one Chief.

That is one HOT photo!
Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular.
Why do people post their equipment in their sig. Isn't it kind of like bragging? That having been said...

*No disrespect to the fireman of this small town fire department, or any fire district employee, for that matter. They work hard, are dedicated, and their chief, I am sure, is proud of his team, and I bet that's why he wants the photo. The fire departments are lucky to get these controlled burns (usually condemned homes, with developers waiting in the shadows), and the hands on training is essential for small volunteer departments. You would never see this at a fire where lives or property were actually at risk. I was a volly myself for a period of my life, and respect what it takes to get the job done.
thank go we have individuals that are willing to do this thankless work.
