Thanksgiving plays

In my children's elementary school, everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving.
My older daughter's 2nd grade class had their play on Friday. She was so cute while practicing for the play. She asked me what year I was born and I told her. She said, "Well, that wouldn't work then." And I asked her what she meant. She said that she was hoping I was born in 1620 so I could tell her what it was really like on the Mayflower.(She was the Narrator):rofl
Here are some photos of that play:
1. Here is Gracie- The Narrator
2. The pilgrim children were telling of the hardships they had on the Mayflower. All they had to eat was beans, hard tack and salt pork. Their hardtack prop (pilot bread) was so hard they couldn't get it broken to share amongst the pilgrims... which they handled like second graders handle everything- with lots of giggles. My favorite is the boy all bent over double laughing so hard.
3. When the pilgrims shared about having to leave their toys behind to make room for tools and food, their sorrow filled faces said it all:
4.
5. Here are some from my other daughter's Kindergarten play.
She was a cute little pilgrim girl. Her only line was "hurry hurry!" She practiced constantly for a week and pulled it off quite well.
6. She sort of stands out in a crowd- especially at f3.5.
7. These are the Indian warriors who are and say: "strong and brave".
8. And one little pilgrim girl is allmost ready for class again!
Thanks for looking! I certainly enjoyed all the plays- the kids were so cute in their little costumes!
C & C always welcome, but I do have to tell you I was just messing around with these.

Ignorance is no excuss, so lets DGrin!
Im gonna step out on a limb and make the prediction of even more drama in your future. As a father of a boy and two girls....ahem...who were just as adorable at that age....it is more than just an educated guess!!:D
Thanks for sharing them Heather.

I think #6 is my favorite; In #1, the heads a bothering me a bit, but I'm not sure if cropping them out would be much better

Yep, last night I heard a preview of their next drama engagement ...
(you are so shmart!) And thank you!
Ah HA! Now I will expect to see a Charlie Brown thread started at some point. I will look forward to it! And hopefully the parents don't die, since the pilgrim children had it rough enough on the mayflower without being orphans. !
(thanks!)
Thanks! Now THAT is a compliment.
Thanks Mitchell!
I hear you about the heads... But at least we know she wasn't speaking to an empty room!
#2 and #3 are favs for me too.
Thanks for taking the time to comment!
