Well, I guess this is better late than never! While you all have been happily posting away, I've been moping around with a nasty cold...yuck! So here's a late comer photo of mine from Yosemite (the only one so far worth showing, I'm afraid!). I'm working on a few more, but I'm kinda slow... :rofl

Thanks for the great weekend, Andy. Sorry you missed the chapel (I think a lot of folks did). The rain was a bummer for sure (and feeling sick on top of it was no fun...didn't know you were fighting a cold, too! Sorry to hear about that...get well soon!)
Cheers!

I passed the chapel at least 2 times but our group was always running off somewhere else. That's a nice angle. One time we passed there were two bridal couples out in front...

I was there a bit earlier (or maybe same time judging by the bride and groom)
but I only took the front face shot, didn't think of this one.
Great job!
Nik, don't feel bad! I only thought of that view because I saw another photographer shooting from back there on a previous trip. Wish I could take credit for originality, but I can't.
Dee, I love your shots! Had fun browsing through your Smugmug gallery. Your Wawona photos are sooo kewl!!! I LOVE the pic of the sink in the room. You have such a good eye for these things...I only WISH I could be half as creative a thinker as you are!
Cheers,

Yes, Skippy...Yosemite is a very popular place for weddings! Even in Wintertime! Here's a newlywed couple I saw there this past Winter...in the snow!!! And yes, it was very, very cold!!!
Ohhhhh, Missy! I can't wait to see your reflections photos!!! That's another viewpoint I've never thought of (doh!). Hope we get to see them soon...I'll bet they're awesome!
Cheers,

These are all very nice
As Andy wrote, we wanted to get that chapel shot too, but by the time we got around to it (about Noon on Sunday) it was raining You nailed that one girl
That last one of the newlyweds in the snow is shweeeeeeet :-)
Nice to have finally met you and sorry for mispronouncing your nickname For years I've been thinking of you as Knee, not Nay
Hope you had a great time too. You certainly got some great shots
Steve
I know, I know...the time was too short! Can't wait for our Zion trip next year!!!
Maybe next time we can rent a couple vans or a bus to haul us around so we can all hang together more.
Sorry I didn't get to spend much time with you early bird guys...but that 4:30am wake-up call was just a bit too much (I was coming down with a yucky cold and wasn't feeling too perky up there). Anyhoo...thanks for the kind words about my photos~ :smooch
Cheers!

Makes me want to see it in a 1,500 piece jig saw puzzle so that I can look at it for a while and have fun recreating it!

Now I'm really blushing...
Thank you all for your kind words (they really picked up my spirits today!). Wishing I was back in Yosemite right now! Weren't all those dogwood trees in bloom extra lovely, too?
Cheers!

Yeah, I think Andy took the rain back with him!!!
Good to hear you recovered your lost photos...I know your were pretty bummed about it. Keep on shooting (and praying, !). You should see my pics from a few years back...ugh! Everything improves over time (well, except maybe our bodies, our eyesight, our minds...) ~
Cheers!

Thanks again for your encouraging comments, Susan! It was a tough lighting situation for the dogwood flowers (mostly shady), so getting the exposure right was a bit tricky...nice to know my efforts paid off some, !
Greaper, Dude!!! You were so much fun on the trip...you made me laugh at times when I felt more like crawling in a hole and staying there. Thanks...and just remember Yosemite isn't going anywhere...you'll have future photo ops (though I'm hearing on the news today there's a strong possibility of flooding again...they're evacuating the valley...the water levels are right at bridge height...sigh...seems like deja vu! Sure hope it's not too bad this time. I really wanted to go back again for more of those dogwood trees!).
Cheers!
