Google Analytics tutorial not quite right?

Hi
I have a power user account, which I believe allows me to install Google Analytics?
I've reviewed the DGrin tutorial, but the customization page isn't quite like the tutorial, so I'm trying to find my error.
Analytics gives me a "tracking unknown" error. I've tried pasting the "legacy code" and conversely the "new tracking code" options. I've tried pasting it in the "Custom Footer" box and conversely the "Bottom Javascript" box.
Am I trying something unworkable at power account level? Or, did I miss a step in the code copy process?
Thanks!

It is:

I remove the http:// in the Analytics account entry since Google adds that back automatically.

Thanks for checking. I'll let it go for a day or two and whack the side of the computer to see if that helps.
These two screen shots in the tutorial are out of date with the Smugmug UI:
But, if you can find your way around those differences in navigation, the core of the tutorial looks right.

I was responding to the OP that the tutorial looks right to me.

But, just copy and paste it into the footer box. That's it. It'll work. There's no reason why it wouldn't be working now, on the old code.

It seems I needed to make sure I set the "Display Full Smugmug Footer" to one of the "yes" options and not "no".
