Yosemite - Covered Bridge

I saw this on the web and was determined to get a covered bridge shot. Turns out it's in Pioneer Village just east of the Wawona, behind the gas station and store. As you go over the bridge just before the gas station and look south you can get a glimpse of the bridge thru the trees. But, if you don't know to look, it's pretty hidden.

Here I was in the right place at the right time when these horseback riders decided to come across the bridge. I was almost jumping out of my skin!

I got a few more shots, but I was surprised at how quickly they made across the bridge and immediately turned right to continue on the path.

I missed the bear, saw some deer and a coyote, but there wasn't any way I could photograph them. But it was neat I got the horseback riders!

This is not something I see everyday! Too suburban an area that I live in. Occasionally I'll see some horseback riders along the road near highway one, but there aren't any nice covered bridges to frame them

I'm still so tired from the trip I tried to take a nap, the phone interrupted me both times I tired to nap! Oh well...

Oh if you'd seen them you probably would have asked them to go back and come through again! rolleyes1.gif
