Three portraits of Roshan who lives in Mumbai. The white shirt blew out and still he was underexposed!
These finals are what I was able to get after a bit(!) of *wrassling* in post:D

    Good series! thumb.gif
I find the bg a bit too bright and distracting (esp the chair in #1 and #4) to my taste, but hey, sometimes you gotta work with what you have.

Dark skin is hard to render well

Yes dark skin is a challenge, but all skin is really. To get accurate tones and smooth gradations. Especially in digital, I think. The sensors perform at their worst on skin, it seems. I used PhotoTune 2.2 to help get the CMYK mix right. I was starting behind the 8ball with these being so drastically underexposed. #1 needs a bit more saturation, I see now, but it will be good. I'm amazed how good #1,2 & 4 look at very big sizes, the scratchiness and blotchiness which is there a little become a lot more acceptable and the skin detail, which I like to see, is superb.

Thanks a lot for your commentsthumb.gif
