Hawk Blasts Squirrel
I was shooting the TT today
When I heard a pop right behind me. I turned to see something rustling around in the grass near the road. I realized it was a hawk that just nailed something. I went back to the car, switched glass and started shooting. I was using my 70-200 2.8 and started about 200 feet away, and got as close as 50 before he flew off.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I was thinking the same thing. From your description your plan was to continue encroaching until it spooked?

Oh my. I definitely laughed, however I would have rather seen the hawk leave with his/her catch.:soapbox
