I really like this one. If they are displayed together there is an obvious difference in the color/ lightness of the eyes.
2
love the expression. I like the de-saturation. I am wondering what it would look like slightly warmer. When you contrast this one and the next one, it is a little ghostly.
3
this is my favorite. great skin tones. Great expression.
4
is this one a little blue, or is the background fooling me?

Thanks Josh! He was such a Joy! Just a happy kid all the time...of course his dad is that way (even though I wouldn't tell him that - haha).
The background on the fourth one is a bit tricky. It's great with his eyes, but tends to put a blue feel to the whole pic. I have some other really good ones that I will post later.
As far as number one...it's a photo tools preset called funky senior. I don't know if it works on this pic, but I thought I'd try it. Number two is not ps'd but number 3 has a color boost...thus the difference in the skin tone. He is VERY FAIR. So number 2 is more of his natural skin tone.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I do this in my spare time, but I love it!

What is the texture you have in #1 and how was it applied. It is very complimentary with the subject and the desaturation.

cheers, tom
These are super photos! What a cutie pie!
You did a fantastic job on the entire set.
(I echo the comment about the blue on #4, but dial that back a bit and you have another winner!)
Comments and constructive critique always welcome!

I am reallin liking #2 and #5. I like the comp in #1, but the texture, I think, takes away from the image.
So tell me....are you shooting weddings yet? I have one to shoot in April and may need an assist.
