I got a few shots that falls nicely into something which can be called "reflections"...
Half Dome from the Meadows:
Horsetail Falls from the Meadows:
Horsetail Falls:
Mirror Lake:
Half Dome in Mirror Lake:
I have the "straight" counterparts, too, but for some reason these create a better mood..

We were on the same team, following each other's shots, tracks, jokes, etc.:):
They are just "moody" and a bit "paradoxal" - I like the way the grass covers the sky on the first one, and how the water plants float towards the Half Dome:-)
And the angled strokes on #3 almost looks like photoshoped texture - while they're not:-)
Thanks for watching!
Cheers!

Those are some really creative and beautiful images, Nik...I love your reflections! Good for you (and your point & shoot camera, too!!! )! Your photos remind me a lot of French Impressionist paintings. Very, very lovely~

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence that you tried~
They are impressionistic, I agree! Afterall, I made them while being under the impression of the beautiful originals:-)

I guess sometimes one can find a piece of art in a little puddle:-)
Cheers!
I love the leaves, too, they look so totally floating in the air.. A bunch of little UFOs..:-)
Cheers!
I'm glad you like it!
Cheers, mate!
They do, don't they:-)
I think reflection acts as a polarized filter, and as such enchances the colors naturally.
Also it acts as a fine "artistic" filter.
Hence the amout of PS work was pretty minimal :-)
Cheers!
A photographer and his money are soon parted.
I like his ponds series:-)
Marc (and you) said it - it's the hardest part to shoot the place you know:-)
Too much for granite:-)
