I have a passion for photographing the American flag and have literally hundreds of shots taken from every conceivable angle and in every kind of outdoor lighting.

For anyone who finds the flag as beautiful as I do, please feel free to share this gallery with those who can appreciate it for what it is.

I'm not trying to make any kind of political statement with this gallery or my post here... just sharing something I'm passionate about photographing. In the coming weeks, I will be continuing to upload a large collection of additional shots to add to the gallery.

Enjoy! http://www.360photostock.com/gallery/6680864_hQZdR#255652957_4RJbJ

I took a look. I like the variety of perspectives!

There's something unsettling and ironic about a gallery of US Flag photos, with copyright water marks plastered all over them.

Excerpts from the US flag code. http://www.usflag.org/flag.etiquette.html

    • The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose.
    • The flag should never have placed on it, or attached to it, any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind.

I do appreciate the photography, though.

    Regards,
    -joel

    I know
Ironic in a sense, yes. Just go to any micro stock or stock photo website, do a search for the US flag and every single one of them are watermarked. If you do not bother to watermark a photo when it is for sale as a product offering, everyone who would like to use your photo for FREE, can simply screen capture the image and use it. It's unfortunate but, that's life on the internet. It's just a deterrent and, that's all it's meant to be.

If the images were not for sale and just being displayed for the glory of it... there would be no watermarks on them ;-)

    Thank you for looking.

Hi Mark, being American the flag would mean more to you than someone who is not American.

I have always loved the RED WHITE BLUE and the Stars of your country's Flag, I like the Australian one too :D

You have some really nice shots, I particularly like the ones where the flag has been captured as it is moving.

    Beautiful work Mark thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

    Less is more now :-)
I changed the watermark on the horizontal flags to be less "intrusive" then the previous watermark design. I really don't want to ruin the beauty of the flag viewing but, want people to take the page seriously and remember this IS a stock photo site.

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated.
