    Great shots. Nicely presented as well.
    It would appear that you are not getting the true detail of the compound eyes on this until about 3 - 3.5 x. Is this the norm with flies in general?

    I agree with previous posters - super pics, but I'm curious about the size of this critter :)

    By my reckoning, the body length of the specimen, using pic 1 @ 2x, makes it about 6.5mm long ... which is considerably bigger / not far off double the size of those that I typically find / take pics of in our kitchen...

    Is this associated with where you're living, or is my maths up the creek :) ?

    pp, i think fly in the area I shoot this fly is a "virgin" jungle .. most of the fly I shoot are big

    I even got one common fly ~1inch big

    thanks .. can I post 1000pix wide picture here ? due to some limitation of other forum .. I post 500x and while u click on the picture u will be link to 1000 pix picture .. and do u refer >1000pix ? :D
