It's that time of year...

Gracie and George are cozying up in their nest waiting to hear the pitter-patter of little talons walking around their home.

The changing of the guard...switching positions in their quest to keep the little tykes cozy and warm in their shells

Last minute discussion before flying off to find dinner.

...so what are you in the mood for, fish or rabbit?

...and for the last time, wipe your talons before you step in the nest. I'm tired of cleaning up after you.

Have fun,

Phil

It's cool seeing images of bald eagles in a pine tree. Very rare occurrance not long ago...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Ira. It's was a great day for taking pictures with two cooperative subjects...Kinda of hard to get a bad shot.

I'm glad you liked the captions, I had fun thinking them up. Thanks Stephen.

Where I live in Florida, it's quite common for eagles to nest in pines. It gives them easy access and the trees are strong enough to hold the monster nests they build.

Thanks Harry. I have access to three nests this year, so hopefully I'll be able to get a decent shot or two. One of the nests was built this year and is pretty much hidden from the public eye.
