I just discovered this site today while checking out my smugmug site and I thought I would give it a whirl (and even before I post, I got a welcome from Skippy!:): . I thought I might post on this forum as I specialise (for want of a better word) in candid, people and portraits. And as I am an Aussie, I thought I would introduce you to Alan, an aboriginal who speaks nine languages, three of which are aboriginal languages. This image is not posed, he was speaking in German to a German tourist and I caught him with my 135 f/2 L. Its heavily cropped and a filter used, adding a fair bit of noise. Your comments would be appreciated, con or pro.

Welcome, Sheila. Another sister from Oz: Good to see.
Nice intro photo, too. Alan's quite photogenic. Sydney, eh? My birthplace.
Oh and Dee - come on down. The weather's good. The sea's still warm enough to swim in and the local's are friendly. Just remember - noone here drinks Fosters. That's a terrible terrible marketing myth. Australia's national beer should really be Coopers Pale Ale.
