Wacom Cintiq question

Anyone here using a Wacom Cintiq? I recently purchased a Cintiq 12wx and I'm having some trouble incorporating the tablet into my workflow.

I now use the tablet in place of my second monitor. Do most Cintiq users just drag PS into the tablet? I was hoping to just drag the image I am working on into the tablet, but this leaves me having to toggle back and forth onto my main monitor for tools and changes. If I drag PS into the tablet, I give up valuable real estate on the tablet to the PS program.

I could just use the tablet as an ordinary Intuos type of tablet and work solely on my main monitor, but this would defeat the purpose of having the image right on the tablet.

Any advice?

I am wishing to buy one of those Cintiq. The smaller one, the 12" model.
I hope to be able to get free of some arm pains getting however good work.
I think - if I have understood correctly - that you could use the Display Toggle to move between the Cintiq and the monitor, just pushing a button.
That makes sense: if you buy a Mac display cinema it is not to look at Cintiq instead.
Are you used to the Cintiq already ?
Do you find it is useful ?

From what I have read and my own ideaofthe 2nd monitor (whether Cintiq or plain monitor) was to toggle back and forth......this gives you the most real estate possible.........for me that would be the logic of having the Cintiq.

Keep us informed on how it is working out.

I've gotten the hang of the Cintiq.

I typically use the Cintiq as my second monitor. I usually have Adobe Bridge open on the Cintiq and use it to scroll through photos from a shoot.

If I want to use the Cintiq for any editing, I drag Photoshop onto the Cintiq and work from there.

It really is an amazing tablet.

I work with LR and CS4.
I was wondering if I could work in LR as main monitor on the Cintiq and as second monitor on my Mac.
I would have then the Cintiq to edit and the Mac to view the image in full frame, large and with nice colors. :D
I think you do something similar with Photoshop.
