Are the orginal Files exactly the same we upload ?

Are the orginal Files exactly the same we upload ?
if not what kind of operations you do on the image ?

    -O (original) files are untouched. they are the same as what you upload. no processing at all.

    Smugmug accepts tif and gif files as well as jpeg and I don't know what else. Are the originals also available for these?
