It was great meeting you all! I am brand new to smugmug and dgrin because of the Yosemite trip. Thanks to Ed for introducing me to the group, Andy for asking me if I wanted to be a guide, and to my group for all the tips and laughs. After many years of living in and around Yosemite you all helped me take a fresh look. Here goes with my very first post...

I gave up Ed's coyote for this one.

Great pictures and nice to have finally met you, we heard lots of good things. You missed a great chase, I think that coyote stopped long enough to stick his tongue out at us. Then when we thought we were going to be taking pictures he took off.

Thanks everybody. I wasn’t expecting all the kudos on the sunset shot. I mainly took that one for myself. The house I grew up in is located in the area way down in the lower right-hand corner of the picture, near the Merced River. Forgive the misty moment here :cry .

More pics to come. As Marc mentioned though, it is difficult to take pictures that you are happy with when you are overly familiar with the location. Or, as the locals say, “We just take the park for granite!
