Actually most were 1/400. However I bumped the dial at one point and shot half a quarter at 1/320. The mkIII doesn't have incremental steps above 3200 it just jumps to 6400. Since I shoot at f2.8 1/400 iso 3200 my only option would be to go to 6400. I prefer not to do that. And I love the flexibility of using a zoom rather than going back to a prime. So I agree 1/500 would have been better, I chose the blur as the lesser of 3 evils. But I could see others choosing one of the other 2 options and couldn't fault them for it.

it's not the size of the lens that matters... It's how you focus it.

And John, don't mention it
good shots, what shutter speed, did you have.
a couple of the shots had a small amout of motion blur on the ball?
i find 1/500 or faster is about the minimum, what are your thoughts?
