This was captured in rural Western Australia, crawling around the adge of a building.
It was wasp like in appearance, minus the wings and about 20mm in length.
If you have any idea on what it might be I would be grateful.

Think it is a wasp but they are called velvet ants - looks simialr to this http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_wasps/VelvetAnt.htm
