    LOvely series- can only guess at it being a stilt fly

    Hmm, that's a difficult one. The body shape and wings resemble a snipe fly (Rhagionidae), but antennae are definitely not-snipe fly, more like a Muscidae representative. Better look at the wing vein pattern could tell more...

    I have never seen anything similar but they are excellent shots. The eyes suggest it is a male.
