I'm Ryan. I live, work, and shoot in San Diego, and am looking forward to becoming an active member and absorbing any and all the knowledge I can from anyone who's willing to share! I'd call myself an aspiring amateur photographer. I know enough to get myself in trouble, but not anywhere near enough to be proud of my work yet. I like a shot here and there, but for the most part, still mostly just playing around doing random candids at family gatherings. I have fun though, and that's worth something.
Some shots:
One of my younger cousins. Not sure if this was posed or run and gun, but I love the expression on his face. Probably had my 430EX bouncing off the ceiling and pretty sure it was shot with a 50mm f1.8.
My beautiful girlfriend and aforementioned cousin. It's few and far between that she lets me share shots of her, so I must have done something right with this one. Same settings as above, obviously at least somewhat posed.
Uggggggly bug in my moms garden. Don't really get into landscapes much, but I really dig this one... Probably has to do with the bug. This one is all natural midday light and same lens as the others.
