Is it possible to force the database time field to use the EXIF capture time stamp?
I've implemented the "by date" function, e.g., here:
http://dardens.smugmug.com/date/
but discovered to my surprise that the date smugmug is using seems to be the upload timestamp.

So, on the date page there isn't a place to toggle between Date Taken and Date Uploaded. And it was showing the date uploaded. I went to your homepage and noticed that it was set to show by Date Uploaded there. So, I clicked on Date Taken and then went back to the link you provided above and it was showing the timeline feature by Date Taken. So, it seems to be working now. Are you still having problems with it?
Thanks heaps for the instant help. You fixed it!
I don't use the photo timeline on the homepage, just the menu pick for photos by date.
It isn't obvious that the option on the homepage controls the /date page.
Wow, when did you guys implement this? It's great. I complained a long time ago that the timeline was sorted by date (not time). Seemed to be a random order within a day. Is this a recent change or was I missing something?
Thanks!
