5D MII EXIF data question

Curious - looking over the fantastic shots with the new 5D MII.

The 5D's sensor size is listed as being 24x36, which is the same as 35mm film.

I was looking at Andy's shots with the 5D MII and the EXIF data will show (for example)
  • Focal length: 92mm (guess 58mm in 35mm)
  • Focal length: 50mm (guess 32mm in 35mm)
If the 5D's sensor is the same size as a 35mm frame then shouldn't the "guess" by the same as the reported focal length?

    Yeah, the camera only just shipped :D Please give us a chance to update our EXIF table, eh? :D

    I thought the guess information came out of the camera.

    No, the makers aren't very smart with their makernotes and other stuff. So we have to hack a table to overcome "guess" fail.
