Slow Gallery and Slideshow Load Times

I've had three people today tell me that they're having extraordinarily slow load times in a gallery of Thanksgiving snapshots of mine. Each user has found that in the basic gallery mode, it takes a long time for the thumbs to fill in, and then for the larger image on the right to display. One says that the slideshow just doesn't go anywhere once launched, and another said it sometimes launches OK, but eventually stalls out.

Ordinarily I would discount these reports as user error, a bad connection, or something else wholly unrelated to SmugMug, and that may still be the case, but I was able to basically replicate the problem on a machine at home, while experiencing no trouble at the office.

Is there any troubleshooting I can employ to try to sort this out?

Thanks for that. I'd blame it on the hardware, but my MacBook Pro was gagging on the site this morning, and never has before.
