Hi!

I am hoping someone has the magic spell for me.

One of my customers wants me to add a black and white with color retouch effect to a picture of her son.
He has blue eyes, so she wants B&W but his eyes blue.. Cool, perfect.. I said, I can do that.. She now added she also wants the PJ's in color!! those PJ's have TONS for stripes!! I use PSE 6.0 mac.

Is there a way to do this w.o me having to pain on every single stripe of those cute PJ's?

Thank you!!!

GG

Sure - In Photoshop there is. Not sure about Elements though. If it has the History Brush you are golden, if not, well..........

Duplicate your background layer with ctrl-j

Convert the top layer to B&W with Image>Adjustments>B&W - adjust sliders to taste

Hit the 'y' key for the History Brush tool. Place the sample layer on the colored background layer, and paint back in the colors that you removed in the conversion to B&W on the top layer. The only thing you have to do is paint in where you want color. Easy Peasy!clap.gif
