Looking for advise: restarting my keywords

I've been using SmugMug for about 6 months and based on those 6 months I would say that I'm here for the long run.

However, I'm not very satisfied with how SmugMug handles non-ascii chars in keywords, neither am I satisfied with my own usage of keywords. So I would like to restart everything from scratch ... which in this case means that I want to forget/remove keywords on the photos I've already uploaded (I have no intention to go through 8-9000 photos and fix the keywords).

Is there some way to easily to this "restart"?

Also, is there some way to prevent smugmug to add keywords? (if I've understood the help correctly I should name my files something like ABC-84373534875.jpg to avoid this "feature")

The only way I know is use the bulk remove in each gallery. If you have many
more galleries then keywords it might be quicker doing it on each keyword page.
