My first horses (6 shots)

My parents recently informed me that they plan on purchasing two new horses. I have been invited along on the purchasing trip and have been told there are many beautiful photo ops at the ranch. There will be horses, of course, but also deer and nice country side. So since I had the day off today I thought I would practice some horse shots. These were all taken during late morning early afternoon (11-1pm) so the light wasn't the best. Also I know some of these are really centered but no matter how loud I yelled they just wouldn't pose in the right spot:rofl These were taken in AV at f8.0 Shutter around 1/320.

I'm not expecting someone to critique all six shots ( unless of course you want to) but some feedback in general about what I could have done better either in camera or post would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

    Hey Eric,

I've been out shooting all day so I'm sorry I couldn't have responded earlier. Its an excellent series of shots. #2 is my favorite because the eye is so clear and it give the horse more "personality".

The trip sounds like a fantastic opportunity and Ican't wait to see your pics from it.

Thanks Harry!! Hope you got some good shots, although knowing and seeing your talent I'm sure you did. I'll be sure to post some of the pics from the trip.

That is such a beautiful place. Your parents were right. Lovely shots. I think that #5 is the best for the one challenge as the composition of a lone horse is very good and the horse and setting are nicely captured.thumb.gif
