Pretty poor conditions prevailed. The Hafren stage was cancelled due to ice. The FIA in their infinite wisdom makes the drivers choose their tyres before the event, which means that if conditions change as suddenly and as unpredictably as they do in Wales things can go very wrong. In this case the drivers all went for gravel tyres. But the ice meant that the tracks were too dangerous to drive on. So the FIA rules not only made the event dangerous, but also a complete cop out for the spectators, many of whom had travelled long distances to get there. This is the last time I will be visiting this particular rally.
