Transporting renewable energy the efficient way!
So this morning was my official 'photo gig' with the new business. A friend of mine referred me to the guys at Community Cycles who were helping transport new solar panels from Namaste Solar to Naropa University.
It was fitting to transport renewable energy via human powered bicycles! It was challenging being under pressure for the first time with my photography trying to get the 'right shot', but the guys were great to work with and the weather, although chilly, cooperated nicely. Everyone was volunteering their time today, so it was a great event and spirit of togetherness making the world a better place a little at a time.
A huge learning experience for me with regards to being in position and having the camera ready to go. I can definitely see why having two bodies is a plus, switching lenses slowed me down a couple of times. I am hoping to get another body in the spring perhaps a used D300. I used my kit lens 18-55 and 70-300 VR F4.5 today, both served pretty well.
Hopefully a few pics will make it in the local paper too!
Thanks for looking!
