Hi everybody! I haven't been around much in the last couple of months. I've just been too busy, but I found myself with some free time this weekend and decided to try this week's challenge.

I know I still need to work on the lighting. I do not have any off camera lighting equipment so lighting is really a challenge for me. Any suggestions here are appreciated!!

What do you think of the composition? Is it better with the eraser or not? Am I even on the right, er 'write' track??

I'm thinking of calling my entry "The Write Stuff."

#2 (just slightly different from the first)

Thanks for looking and commenting.

    I think it's a brilliant idea! I like #2 the best.

The only suggestion would be to possibly check the white balance and reshoot - they're all looking a little blue on my screen (although #2 is the best on that score)

Great idea - definitely worth developing IMO!

Thanks all for the feedback. I knew I needed to adjust the WB (I didn't like the blue cast either) so I will try it again today. I also think I may break one of the pencil points.

I still can't decide if I like it better with the eraser or without it. I may end up flipping a coin!

I prefer the #3. The eraser adds something to composition and the almost deleted word makes the picture more interesting imo.

This is a clever idea. I think if you want to put the eraser into it maybe make it fill a bit more of the frame. It seems a bit unbalanced as the only pinkish colored thing in the frame on the edge of the frame.
    Great idea!

You might also try 'Dear Santa, define good.'

I had also thought about 'Dear Santa, I TRIED to be good!'

I even considered a different set-up with 'Dear John' but I figured this close to the holidays I didn't want to be mean!
