How do i make galleries pages look like other pages

On the home page, and the galleries page, there's a nice about 800 px border with the page centered. Once you click on a gallery the page stretches and there's no border. I've figured out how to center it, but how do I get that border back?

    Can you give us your site link and a link to a gallery with a little more detail on what you are trying to get it to look like?

    FYI, by default galleries are meant to be stretchy so that they can use the largest sized images that fit in the browser window. That makes them behave a little differently than the fixed width homepage which is, by default, not stretchy.
