It was a spider fest this morning at the garden.

1. St andrews Cross spider.

2. Weird angle. I think he is chomping on something.

3. This spider had a massive abdomen and the cephalothorax was coming out of his stomach at 90 degrees?? Strange..

    Hi Steve, the St Andrews Cross Spider has a nice pattern on its back.

    The spider with the large abdomen is Silver Orb Spider - Leucauge dromedaria. I just recently went searching the net for hours trying to ID one I got in my yard recently.

    Skip, the st andrews backs look like aboriginal art, i reckon.. or navaho or similar, maybe.. ne_nau.gif
    I thought #3 may be preggers as well.
