I think your lighting and wb are what make this photo pop. The WB has just the right amount of cooling colors to let you know that this was a chilly morning
Would love to hear from you on my blog, or website!
As skippy noted, the glow around the horse is great and captured nicely. For me, since the entire frame is in focus, I think I would have liked to see the bushes in the foreground moved a little to the left and not so centered. Would it have been possible to move a little to the right? Or would you have lost that beautiful light around the horse?
Do you have any other versions with a larger aperature to get either the foreground or background out of focus?

It was sort of shot on the fly with a very brief sun break in an otherwise cloudy northwest morning. I wasn't sure how long it would last, so I shot fast. It so happened I had stopped to photograph this horses pal, a miniature long horn steer, in the same field, so I split the time I had (which was very brief), between the two.

This is about the best I had without the bush in the foreground.
leoforte - I sure know about the fleeting NW sunbreaks I like what you did with the closer crop on the horse. Personally I think it better showcases that great backlighting that you were able to catch so well.

Wow look at the beautiful glow of light around the horse
The wooded background looks kind of eerie, but I like it

:skippy Everyone has the right to be stupid, but some people just abuse the privilege :dgrin
The horse seems to be enjoying some select snips for breakfast

What a beautiful image, I really like the backlighting on the Horse, and the trees and field give it a very peaceful feeling,
Very nicely done!!!
