Having trouble with watermarking...

It's been a couple months since I've uploaded stuff and I can see things have changed. I'm currently having some problems with watermarking. I typically upload via "send to smugmug", then go to customize my gallery and select a saved profile. The saved profile typically has the watermark optioned selected with a specific watermark. The watermarks did not seem to take affect. I tried doing it manually as well as i'm not getting much luck.

Can somebody help me out here?

okay.. manually adding the watermark seems to work. it just took a little bit. but why doesn't using the saved profile work?
