Don't know, the corners seem very soft. Maybe front focusing.

Looks like it may need servicing to be calibrated.

Great series. Lightning fast focusing right.

You think ... and all this time I thought it was due to the FF.

I used the LensBaby 2, which is a 50mm, single element lens that has a flexable rubber, spring-loaded barrel. This allows you to selectively focus by shifting and tilting and at the same time focus by push/pull the flexable lens barrel.

I see that there are several options of Lens babies... is there a specific one that you guys are using?

I'm using the $150 LensBaby 2 which is now The Muse, at the time it was the best LensBaby available. They now have the Composer and the Control Freak. The Composer looks very interesting.

While I enjoy the challenge of the LensBaby, it is more of a toy for me than a serious photographic tool. $350 is pretty expensive for a toy (at least for me).

Yeah... I read a little more on each of the three and it looks like The Muse is also the one I would get, if I get one. The other two are a bit pricey for a "toy" as you put it, and they also look like they are more for potrait and studio shooting which I do neither. I would be interested in getting one of these just to mess around with.

I guess $150 is not bad. Let's see if Santa brings me one.

BTW, how was the shooting at The Getty? I planned on going and meeting you guys but something came up that prevented the trip.

Hey ... a LAShooter ^5 ... it was good ... overcast in the morning and nice directional lighting in the afternoon. If you want to try it out and if you have a Canon body ... lets get together ... if you shoot non-Canon I'll lend you a camera and lens you bring a memory card.

That would be very cool of you. I shoot Nikon so I would need to use your camera. I'm taking a trip over the Holiday to SF so maybe when I get back we can plan something or maybe at the next LA Shooters get together.

I am out in Porter Ranch, in the SF Valley. Whereabouts are you? Maybe we can find someplace to shoot.

That's the same model I use. You can find them used quite often as people buy them and end up not using after the first try. I got mine used at a camera store for around $100, i've seen them online as low as $75.
