So having shot this wedding I've realized I need to perfect my work flow.

What do you do to get the pictures from point A ( your camera) to point b (prints and/or copies for purchase)

Do you upload a reduced size for viewing?
Upload full size?

For example, 75 prints are included, do you have them pick the #s and you upload to print?

Just looking to help increase my ease of workflow. This has been a pain for me.

Reduced size (700x700 or so) with big watermark, otherwise they might as well decide to print the rest on their own :D

(I hope Scott picks up on this post.)
I sell photography services and sell prints for a lot less than 'traditional' wedding photographers. I get my money up front and make some off the prints sales to compensate me for my time with those prints. If they want every shot then great! They have already paid me to shoot and process/workflow images. Nuf said there.

    My workflow.
    I work in RAW
Download images onto a hard drive.
Backup original images onto a portable hard drive or CD/DVD.
Since you generally shot similiar light and color balance images next to other images I will create a profile and apply it to images as I review them in Bridge or Lightroom. This gets me 90-100% of where I need to be with all the images after a while. A WHILE=1 hour of post for every hour shooting.
As I work on images they are saved first as PSD files to maintain any layers I might have added to sharpen. noice control. dodge/burn, multiply/screen, etc. Then every PSD file is saved as a high quality jpeg at 10.
I have PS actions written to handle these tasks.
All jpegs that I worked on are uploaded. Then these are made available to the client.
Sure you can watermark them (I don't) and put them in a password protected gallery (I do).

From there I generally burn 2 or 3 CDs of the JPEGS and give then to the Bride.

    That's my workflow.

When I sell a job I let them know that if they want prints 8x10 or bigger or canvas, etc, then they should pay me to handle the file to get the best resulting prints An I tell them what those prices are and that they include my time and if they don't like it then they don't have to pay for it. I do make some extra on these services. If someone in the wedding party is a PS wiz, then fine. I still got paid. They got their images, everyone is happy and I can move onto the next client. I try to get jobs done and out the door as quickly as possible as I hate having jobs queued up. Most of my assignments are turned around in 24 hours and sometimes less. I'm up to 340 jobs so far this year and a couple more weeks to go!

I think if you gave us an idea what your current workflow is we could better suggest how to improve upon it.

Mine. Shoot, copy to 2 different hard drives, burn originals to DVD, then clear cards. Import to lightroom, process as needed. Export jpgs, then make a bw copy with a batch action and some brightness/contrast and upload to smugmug with watermark and ready to order. I upload full size and little to no compression, so I am done. That way when they order, I am only double checking to make sure the image if perfect, and any cropping is good. I go out of town occasionally and then don't have access to all those files.

And the best thing is I am done. Once you start getting busy, and then get orders via smugmug, you don't have to go back and do more work. At first just doing the proof delay and replacing sounds good, but if you have years of photos for sale online and then suddenly you get a burst of orders from many events it could really bog you down.

It does take longer initially to upload the files, that's why I am so thankfully for star explorer.
WTB: 1GB and 512k CF cards.
I have a need for a decent # of these smaller cards. If you have multiple cards that would be great. I am located at zip code 35243 & 35255.
